You are on the road to success! You have made grand plans, either for college or straight into a career. You want your job to be great. You want that job to make you happy! You also hope to make some money to buy an awesome car, house, and all the latest gadgets! Do you know if your chosen job will make you happy? Do you know if that career path will help you earn enough money to buy all the things you want? How long will you be in college before you can start making money? You are going to start answering those questions now, through this Web Quest that will help you to prepare for the Career Fair!
Follow the instructions below to find out what careers would be best for you and if your skills and abilities will be advantages to that job.

Fold a sheet of paper in half and label one side strengths and the other weaknesses. Spend a few minutes listing personality or skill strengths and weaknesses. You should have at least 10 on each side. See example below:

I am a great writer. I am not good at writing.
I love to make things with my hands. I do not like reading directions.
I have lots of friends. I can't cook.
I can draw. I dislike sports.

Step 3:
Using the information you received from your quiz and your strengths and weaknesses paper, choose a career that interests you and fit your skills and abilities. You should have a few career paths with a higher percentage of interest that you can whittle down to a single career choice. Be sure to research enough information as you need a minimum of the following:
Description of the career, Pros and Cons of the career, Salary, Working conditions, Amount of college/education required, Best college to attend to enter this career field, Career demand, and Opportunities for advancement.
